Occupational Therapy is defined as a profession that utilizes the necessary adapted tools and/or strategies to assist an individual in being independent with all of their daily/occupations of life. We use the natural activities of a person's life to practice, train, retrain those skills needed for a meaningful life. We work with the Pediatric population 0-21.
Facilitated Activities may include play, leisure, work related skills, and work simplification/energy conservation techniques. We determine deficits in sensory integration/motor, fine motor, visual motor/perceptual skills, range of motion, upper body strength to make feasible goals so that a person can improve their life skills.
